EL VINO

The following are the better wines produced in the Argentine lands as suggested by local friends. As you might appreciate, given the extortionist price of wine in Ireland I am afraid to hazard a guess as to what they might cost there. Therefore beware because the following primitive price classification is based on the opinions of those from the "producing nation".

Vino Tinto

Luigi Bosca, Malbec Verdot 1995

Luigi Bosca, Cabernet Bouchet 1994

Enzo Bianchi Gran Cru, Cosecha 1994

Felipe Rutini, Tinto 1994

Catena Zapata, Tinto 1995

Vino Tinto (Reasonably Priced)

Colon, Cabernat Sauvignon 1996

Santa Monica, Cabernet Sauvignon 1999

Santa Monica, Tempranillo

Santa Monica, Malbec 1999

Vinos Blancos

Etchart Cafagate Internacional, Cabernet Sauvignon 1996

It is universally agreed that by far the best wines and most expensive ( both red and white) are those produced by Navarro Correas.
